-

MUSCAT: Conducting a cleanup in contribution to local communities, employees from The Sultan Center recently took to the sand and removed waste from the beach in Athaiba, Muscat. Comprising its latest environmental initiative, the firm sought to set a positive example for companies conducting practical voluntary team-building initiatives and CSR campaigns, turning out a staggering amount of trash over several hours between mid-afternoon and sunset.

Mahmoud Al Sheikh, Marketing Manager at TSC, commented, “As per the slogan of our CSR programme ‘We Care’, and environmental conservation is not only of the utmost concern to all, but critical when it comes to maintaining a health habitat for animals and plant life, as well as ourselves when looking to enjoy a little time by the sea.

The pollution of our communities overall is the result of laziness and poor social values that we must combat if we are to protect Oman as a destination that we can be proud when locals and visitors tour the nation.

TSC’s CSR contributions retain a pragmatic focus in its contributions to society, providing assistance and outcomes that we hope will inspire others to follow suit in causes of significance”.

TSC’s CSR programme recently launched its healthy living campaign in an effort to inspire local communities with healthier lifestyles, giving shoppers free health foods at TSC Qurm, Al Khoud, and Al Amerat. Other notable contributions in 2018 comprise initiatives ranging from environmental action in-line with global movements like Earth Hour, food and donation drives to aid low income families, and support for child cancer patients cared for by Dar Al Hanan.
