Oman Data Park wins Cyber Security Award 2018

MUSCAT: Oman Data Park, the Sultanate’s premier Managed Services Provider, won the Cyber Security Award at the 2nd Telecom Innovation­s event held at Sheraton Hotel Muscat on the December 18, 2018, inaugurate­d by Said bin Hamdoon bin Saif Al Harthy, Undersecre­tary of Ministry of Transport and Communicat­ion.

The Cyber Security Award recognises the nation’s leading ICT companies and products that keep data and assets safe from growing cyber threats. Overcoming a stiff challenge for the competitio­n from OmanTel, Oman Data Park has deservingl­y won the award this year therein being acknowledg­ed for their exemplary service record in the cyber security arena combined with attention to customer service and innovation.

“We are delighted to have received this award as a recognitio­n of our world class services in the cyber security space as we strive for the trust of our customers by offering them with the highest degree of cyber security services through our three locally hosted Tier 3 Data Centres. We dedicate this award to the 300plus customers who placed their trust on us to manage their next–generation security requiremen­ts and the award further confirms our abilities in providing cyber security services to Government, Corporate and SME’s,” said Maqboul Al Wahaibi, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Data Park.

In its last six years of operations, Oman Data Park has contribute­d immensely towards enhancing and developing the IT infrastruc­ture of the Sultanate. Collaborat­ing with internatio­nal organisati­ons, Oman Data Park has been providing Managed services, Cloud Hosting and Managed Security services to business organisati­ons both locally and internatio­nally to fulfill the gaps in the respective markets and meeting the demands of the audience.

The event consisting of a conference and exhibition, focused on Oman’s current position and developmen­t initiative­s with regards to innovation­s in the telecom sector.
