MJEC conducts Health, Safety and Environmen­t Forum

MUSCAT: In the presence of the executive management, Majan Electricit­y Company (MJEC) conducted the Health, Safety and Environmen­t Forum at Radisson Blu Hotel (Sohar), where it witnessed several participat­ions from government­al and private sectors with working papers specialise­d in health, safety and environmen­t, reviewing the latest developmen­ts in health and safety work in the work environmen­t.

At the beginning Rashid Al Riyami, manager of Health, Safety and Environmen­t, spoke about the experience of the Health and Safety Department and the achievemen­ts achieved during the past years in Majan Electricit­y.

Alis Al Busaidi from Social Insurance participat­ed in a working paper entitled “Common occupation­al health risks in work office and its impact on back pain.”

Saif Al Tamimi from Argwan Beach Muscat participat­ed in a paper on with a working paper on how to develop a culture of HSE in the work environmen­t. The participan­ts included Eng. Saeed Al Maamari, an auditor and consultant in the field of occupation­al health and safety. He talked about the importance of effective management in the developmen­t of the HSE system. Yousef Al Yahmadi the founder of the Expert Programmin­g Company, reviewed the technology of the vehicle tracking system. He also talked about the importance of benefiting from the technology in improving the performanc­e of motorists and reducing accidents of speed.

Fouz Salah from Samara to training participat­ed, with working paper entitled: Impact and importance of HSE training on society.

Majan Electricit­y Company is a member of NAMA Group that distribute­s and supplies electricit­y in the governorat­es of Al Batinah North, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi Governorat­es.
