MJEC conducts Health, Safety and Environment Forum
MUSCAT: In the presence of the executive management, Majan Electricity Company (MJEC) conducted the Health, Safety and Environment Forum at Radisson Blu Hotel (Sohar), where it witnessed several participations from governmental and private sectors with working papers specialised in health, safety and environment, reviewing the latest developments in health and safety work in the work environment.
At the beginning Rashid Al Riyami, manager of Health, Safety and Environment, spoke about the experience of the Health and Safety Department and the achievements achieved during the past years in Majan Electricity.
Alis Al Busaidi from Social Insurance participated in a working paper entitled “Common occupational health risks in work office and its impact on back pain.”
Saif Al Tamimi from Argwan Beach Muscat participated in a paper on with a working paper on how to develop a culture of HSE in the work environment. The participants included Eng. Saeed Al Maamari, an auditor and consultant in the field of occupational health and safety. He talked about the importance of effective management in the development of the HSE system. Yousef Al Yahmadi the founder of the Expert Programming Company, reviewed the technology of the vehicle tracking system. He also talked about the importance of benefiting from the technology in improving the performance of motorists and reducing accidents of speed.
Fouz Salah from Samara to training participated, with working paper entitled: Impact and importance of HSE training on society.
