Bank Muscat extends support to Sayyid Abbas golf tournament

The two-day tournament witnessed keen participat­ion from members of the golfing community

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, in line with its vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to partnershi­p in promoting Oman as a sporting nation, extended lead support to Sayyid Abbas Golf tournament – the oldest and most prestigiou­s golf championsh­ips in Oman hosted by Ghala Golf Club. First initiated in 1979, the annual winter golfing event is held in honour of Ghala Golf Club’s former President, late His Highness Sayyid Abbas bin Faisal Al Said.

The two-day tournament witnessed keen participat­ion from members of the golfing community who competed at the highest levels in one of the most challengin­g golf courses in Oman.

Abdulnasir Al Raisi, DGM, Premier Banking, honoured the winners at the concluding ceremony.

Bank Muscat has launched various initiative­s to support sporting activities in Oman. The Green Sports initiative launched by Bank Muscat in 2012 has gained momentum with a total of 93 sports teams across the Sultanate benefiting from the support till date.
