Index ends lower

MUSCAT: The MSM30 index ended lower at 4,304.19 points by 0.15 per cent. MSM Sharia Index closed at 591.47 points, up by 0.04 per cent. Bank Nizwa was the most active in terms of volume and in terms of turnover.

The top gainer was Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles which closed higher by 1.30 per cent while the top loser was Gulf International Chemicals which closed lower by 6.67 per cent. A total number of 235 trades were executed during the day’s trading session generating turnover of OMR780,000 with more than 5.35 million shares changing hands. Financial Index gained 0.02 per cent to at 6,890.37 points. Bank Nizwa and Bank Dhofar were up by 1.11 per cent, and 0.62 per cent respectively.
