Work­shop on mar­ket­ing of health in­sur­ance prod­ucts or­gan­ised

MUS­CAT: With the im­ple­men­ta­tion of manda­tory health in­sur­ance scheme on the anvil, Na­tional Life & Gen­eral In­sur­ance Com­pany SAOG (NLGIC) con­ducted a two-days train­ing pro­gramme on Health In­sur­ance on Jan 6 and 7, 2019 cov­er­ing the pol­icy fea­tures, ba­sics of un­der­writ­ing and other as­pects of health in­sur­ance aimed at de­vel­op­ing a well-in­formed sales team to cater to the large vol­umes of med­i­cal in­sur­ance cus­tomers that are ex­pected in the com­ing days.

NLGIC part­nered with Bahrain In­sti­tute of Bank­ing and Fi­nance (BIBF) which is a ma­jor provider of qual­ity ed­u­ca­tion in the re­gion across all ma­jor busi­ness dis­ci­plines, es­pe­cially bank­ing and in­sur­ance sec­tor.

The sec­ond day of the train­ing wit­nessed the hand­ing over of cer­tifi­cates to the par­tic­i­pat­ing staff by Rashid bin Mo­hammed Al Rashidi, Di­rec­tor of In­sur­ance In­sti­tu­tions Reg­u­la­tion Depart­ment at the Cap­i­tal Mar­ket Au­thor­ity (CMA), who ex­pressed his sup­port for such ini­tia­tives.

“Cus­tomer sat­is­fac­tion is one of the prime con­cerns for us at NLGIC and a well-in­formed sales team would go a long way in pro­vid­ing the re­quired in­for­ma­tion to po­ten­tial cus­tomers about the prod­ucts, its fea­tures and to guide and ad­vise them on what is the best suited prod­uct for him/her as per needs. This train­ing is part of our ini­tia­tive to get our front line team ready for the manda­tory health in­sur­ance scheme that will be rolled out in the very near fu­ture”, said Badar Salim Al Mar­zouqi, AGM Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment.

“I would also like to thank the CMA and es­pe­cially Rashid Mo­ham­mad Al Rashdi for all the en­cour­age­ment, sup­port and guid­ance given to us in our ef­forts to en­hance the skills and em­pow­er­ing Omani cadres and cre­ate a well-trained in­sur­ance staff for pro­vid­ing qual­ity in­sur­ance ser­vices to our cus­tomers”, added Mar­zouqi.
