Workshop on marketing of health insurance products organised
MUSCAT: With the implementation of mandatory health insurance scheme on the anvil, National Life & General Insurance Company SAOG (NLGIC) conducted a two-days training programme on Health Insurance on Jan 6 and 7, 2019 covering the policy features, basics of underwriting and other aspects of health insurance aimed at developing a well-informed sales team to cater to the large volumes of medical insurance customers that are expected in the coming days.
NLGIC partnered with Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) which is a major provider of quality education in the region across all major business disciplines, especially banking and insurance sector.
The second day of the training witnessed the handing over of certificates to the participating staff by Rashid bin Mohammed Al Rashidi, Director of Insurance Institutions Regulation Department at the Capital Market Authority (CMA), who expressed his support for such initiatives.
“Customer satisfaction is one of the prime concerns for us at NLGIC and a well-informed sales team would go a long way in providing the required information to potential customers about the products, its features and to guide and advise them on what is the best suited product for him/her as per needs. This training is part of our initiative to get our front line team ready for the mandatory health insurance scheme that will be rolled out in the very near future”, said Badar Salim Al Marzouqi, AGM Business Development.
“I would also like to thank the CMA and especially Rashid Mohammad Al Rashdi for all the encouragement, support and guidance given to us in our efforts to enhance the skills and empowering Omani cadres and create a well-trained insurance staff for providing quality insurance services to our customers”, added Marzouqi.
