Ministry to highlight Oman tourism in South Asia travel show
MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Tourism and a number of Omani tourism sector institutions and establishments, will take part in activities of South Asia’a Leading Travel Show (SATTE), which will kick off today at India Expo Mart.
Through this participation, the Ministry of Tourism aims to enhance the Sultanate’s position in the Indian tourist market by providing a rich destination with unique and diverse tourist attractions, as well as introducing and promoting the most important projects, facilities and marketing offers offered by the Omani tourism sector to tourists from India and South Asia.
Business meetings
In addition, the tourism sector establishments and institutions will have direct business meetings with counterparts in these markets.
The Ministry of Tourism and the Omani tourism sector, as well as Oman Air, the Sultanate’s national carrier, are keen to attend and participate in the exhibition for the eighth year in a row as the exhibition offers a number of specialised promotional platforms and mutual attraction points for businesses in the travel and tourism sectors of all the participating countries.
About 1,000 travel and tourism companies from more than 50 countries around the world are expected to participate in the exhibition, including companies representing 28 cities from the Indian tourist market.
This annual event attracts more than 31,000 visitors. The event is designed to bring together decision-maker, government representatives and major travel and tourism companies with their counterparts in South Asia in general and the tourism market in particular to promote tourism components and products, and to establish business partnerships and direct business relations.
