MUSCAT: HSBC Bank Oman S.A.O.G. has announced the launch of Mandoos 2019 savings account saving scheme, with total prizes of OMR1.18 million.

The new Mandoos saving scheme offers 644 customers the chance of winning cash prizes that will help them realise their dreams. With a minimum eligibility criteria of only OMR100 in a Mandoos savings account, customers can get a chance to win in monthly and quarterly prize draws throughout the year.

The new scheme includes monthly draws with 50 winners of OMR1,000 and 3 winners of OMR50,000. This is in addition to a quarterly draw with 2 winners of OMR50,000 each.

Abdul Qader Al Sumali, General Manager, Retail Banking & Wealth Management, HSBC Bank Oman, said, “Over the years, our Mandoos account has successfully encouraged more and more customers to adopt prudent saving habits. Through our conversation with our customers we encourage them to start saving earlier, to consider and plan for future events such as children’s education and retirement. We give them professional advice on how to save what they can even when funds are tight. Our Mandoos complements the wide range of retail banking products and services and offers even more chances for our new and existing customers to win.”

Mandoos is a non-interest bearing savings account that requires customers to maintain a minimum account balance of OMR100 for one month to be eligible for all prize draws including the grand prize. In addition, every OMR50 deposited into a customers’ Mandoos account will grant one additional entry into each draw.

Additionally, HSBC has launched a limited time account opening campaign until April 14, 2019 that incentivises new customers opening deposit based accounts with a balance of OMR10,000 or more or a Salary based account of OMR700 salary transfer or more with an assured credit in to the account of up to OMR70.
