SalamAir CEO recognised at G2T Global Awards

MUSCAT: Captain Mohamed Ahmed, SalamAir Chief Executive Officer, was one of the top 14 performing CEOs recognised as part of the top 100 Arab CEOs for 2018 at the 3rd G2T Global Awards ceremony recently held in Paris, France.

Today and under his guidance, SalamAir is a leading the costeffect­ive travel market in Oman and into the region offering customers convenienc­e, flexibilit­y and reliabilit­y of experience to the airline’s 17 domestic and regional destinatio­ns.

SalamAir recently announced new routes to see its growing network of destinatio­ns. The new routes include Alexandria, Kuwait and Riyadh from Muscat, as well as Abu Dhabi from Salalah and the restarted route between Sohar and Salalah. In yet another milestone, the airline’s load factor reached 85 per cent in Q1 2019, while a total number of passengers carried to date reached 1.6 million. With the addition of the new routes, the airline is continuing with its expansion strategy, offering guests more choice and flexibilit­y to plan their business or leisure travels, while meeting their needs and means.

Now in its third year, the G2T Global Awards are organised by the Global 2 T Group, a regional leader in training and events management. The awards feature three main categories including the Top 100 Arab CEOs for 2018, the Business and Operationa­l Excellence awards, as well as the Literature, Arts and Heritage category.

The awards are evaluated quantitive­ly and qualitativ­ely by a renowned judging panel of Arab industry experts.
