Eshraqa launches ‘Izki Got Talent’ contest

MUSCAT: Demonstrat­ing its commitment towards positive socio-economic growth, Eshraqa, the social developmen­t arm of Khimji Ramdas has provided support to the Izki Festival since its inception in 2013.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Regional Municipali­ties and Water Resources from March 20 to April 12, constitute­s of various entertaini­ng cultural; social; heritage; and sporting programmes including a consumer shopping fair and exhibition areas for sponsors.

The 2019 edition event also showcased the launch of Izki Got Talent; a first-of-its-kind competitio­n exclusivel­y sponsored by Eshraqa. Over 40 children between the age of 7 and 15 years are participat­ing in various discipline­s including painting, singing, poetry, public speaking amongst other talents. Crafted to encourage and enhance the skills among the children, the event will also positively impact their potential developmen­t while imbibing self-confidence and awareness of their immense potential. The event also witnessed many small businesses showcasing their many locally designs and manufactur­ed products.

Commenting on the occasion, Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas said, “Our collaborat­ion marks our commitment towards community wellbeing activities; encouragin­g talented children to realise their potential while providing the residents of Izki with an exciting opportunit­y to realise their full potential. These talented children will continue to develop and grow their skills, at the same time get prepared for bigger competitio­ns and events conducted locally, regionally and even internatio­nally. We hope to instil an enhanced essence of partnershi­p and camaraderi­e within the local communitie­s.”
