BankDhofar unveils new edition of savings scheme

MUSCAT: BankDhofar has unveiled the new edition of Savings Scheme for the year 2019. The new scheme will offer guaranteed prizes for every branch, bigger prizes and more winners.

With the aim of celebrating the occasions throughout the year with the customers, the bank introduces occasional prizes this year where customers will be rewarded for their savings on every occasion.

Commenting on the new 2019 saving scheme, Faisal Hamad Al Wahaibi Chief Retail Banking Officer, said: “At BankDhofar, we strive to provide the best services and products that are tailored to suit our customers’ needs and requirements. Through the Savings Account Scheme, we aim at enriching our customers’ experience and reward them for saving. Following the remarkable success of the Savings Account Scheme last year we launched the new 2019 savings scheme. The new scheme offers guaranteed prizes for every branch, bigger prizes and more winners ensuring more customers are included in the scheme. We have also dedicated major prizes for our Priority Banking customers.”

This year’s savings scheme comes under the theme 'Win Prizes for Every Occasion'. The scheme aims at encouraging customers to save and be rewarded at every occasion throughout the year.

Faisal Hamad Al Wahaibi added: “With this year’s saving scheme theme we celebrate with our customers’ different occasions throughout the year. The best way to recognise our loyal customers is through rewarding them for savings.”

Elaborating on the number of prizes and winners, Iman Al Amri, Senior Manager Retail Liabilities products, said: “For the 2019 Savings Scheme, we have added a new category of occasional prizes, where customers will get the chance to win in every occasion. The new prizes include; Omani Women’s Day prize, Renaissance Day prize, Back to School prize, and National Day prize. We have retained daily, weekly and monthly prizes.

“Additionally, one lucky customer will take home OMR 50,000 in the grand prize draw. In order to be eligible to enter the prize draws, our customers have to save a minimum of 100 OMR in their accounts.”

“For Al Riadah Priority Banking, customers will get the chance to win in the monthly quarterly (3 quarters) and the grand prize draws,” Iman added.

With a total of OMR 2 million, the scheme is valid until December 2019. As per the prize draw scheme, BankDhofar customers who save a minimum of 100 OMR in their accounts are eligible to enter the draws where 1 customer/ per day will win cash prizes worth OMR 1,000 in the daily prizes, 10 customers/ per week will get the chance to win OMR 1,000 each in the weekly prizes and one lucky customer/ per month will get the chance to win OMR 10,000 in the monthly prize, in addition to the grand prize worth OMR 50,000 for one winner. For the special occasion prizes, 5 customers will get the chance to win OMR 1,000 each in the Omani Women’s Day prize draw, 5 customers will get the chance to win OMR 1,000 each in the Renaissance Day prize draw, 10 customers will get the chance to win OMR 1,000 each in the Back to School prize draw and one lucky customer will get the chance to win OMR 49,000 the National Day prize draw.

As for Al Riadah customers, one customer will win in each of the monthly draw worth OMR 25,000, quarterly (3 quarters/ 3 winners per year) worth OMR 100,000 and grand prize draw worth OMR 250,000.
