Clear up operations begin

Field workers from various municipalities throughout the Sultanate have been working hard to clear up after the heavy rains on Saturday night.

Since dawn, municipal workers have been out clearing pools of water, rocks and sand from the roads.

Musandam Municipality said, “The efforts of Madha Municipality have focussed on dispersing the collected water and removing the dust and debris that have affected the public and interior roads in the Wilayat due to the weather conditions.”

Khabourah, Shinas, Madha, and Al Musanna Municipalities have all been working on “collecting accumulated rainwater and discharging it in various areas of the Wilayat.”

Al Dhahirah municipalities also carried out cleaning work to restore the traffic movement to normal by removing debris and water.

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation has predicted that the peak of the weather condition will end tonight, Sunday, April 14.
