Bank Muscat hands over 59th Green Sports field to Al Hilal team

MUSCAT: Bank Muscat celebrated the inauguration of the 59th football field developed as part of its Green Sports initiative in Rustaq in South Batinah governorate. The guest of honour, Sheikh Muhanna Saif Salim Al Lamki, Governor of North Batinah, presented the Green Sports football field to the Al Hilal Sports Team in the presence of a number of dignitaries and senior bank officials.
Sheikh Muhanna Saif Salim Al Lamki praised the role of Bank Muscat in supporting sports activities and helping build high quality sports infrastructure across the nation. Highlighting the Green Sports Field initiative as a good example of privatepublic partnership in contributing to the overall development of the country, he said that it would inspire a new generation of sporting heroes and congratulated the Al Hilal Sports Team on the occasion of the handover of the Green Field.
Addressing the gathering, Ibrahim al Ajmi, Assistant Regional Manager – South Batinah, Bank Muscat, said: “This is a proud achievement for Bank Muscat and this unique CSR initiative once again reiterates the bank’s commitment to develop modern sports infrastructure across Oman. We hope to support the Government in its efforts to create a sporting nation and also contribute to sustainable development and all-round progress of local communities around the Sultanate.”
Khalil Mohammed Al Luaihi, Team Manager of the Al Hilal Sports Team, thanked Bank Muscat for the Bank’s contribution to developing Omani sports talent. He said: “The Green Sports initiative is a big boost for the country’s youth and we are confident that many youngsters from different localities and sports teams across Oman will benefit from this programme.”
