Expro awarded multi-million dollar contract in India

MUSCAT: Leading internatio­nal oilfield services company, Expro, has been awarded a multimilli­on dollar contract for Hindustan Oil Exploratio­n Company (HOEC) in Mumbai, India.

The seven-year contract will include the build, maintenanc­e and operation of a production handling facility on a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) as well as all topside processing equipment.

The bespoke build will be fast tracked with a scheduled delivery of eight months. The MOPU will produce oil and gas from the B-80 field located offshore India.

P Elango, Managing Director for HOEC, said: “HOEC is delighted to partner with Expro to build, operate and maintain the oil and gas processing plant, which will be part of the Mobile Offshore Production Unit that will produce the first oil from B-80 Field located in Western Offshore.”

“This follows the recent success of a modular gas processing plant that Expro built, installed, commission­ed and currently maintains for HOEC in the Dirok gas field in Assam, north east of India. The plant recently achieved a milestone of 365 days without any down time or lost time incident (LTI),” Elango added.
