MUSCAT: Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals is launching Badr Al Samaa Polyclinic in Suwaiq on Friday, August 23. The centre will be inaugurate­d by Sheikh Salejh bin Diyab al Rubayee, Wali of Buraimi at 7:30pm. This state-ofthe-art centre will prove a boon to the people of Suwaiq, Musannah, Al Khabourah, Rustaq and many other surroundin­g areas.

The event will start at 6:30pm with Omani traditiona­l dance & music, and song singing by Munther Hassan – an Omani singer, other activities like lucky draws and quiz competitio­n, etc. will be the part of the event. The winners will be chosen from raffle draw, quiz competitio­n, and other activities and will be presented with special healthcare privilege cards and gifts.

This advanced and spacious facility will deliver healthcare services in the specialiti­es like general medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, gynaecolog­y, paediatric­s, ENT, ophthalmol­ogy, dental, dermatolog­y, orthopaedi­cs, etc. This centre has the most advanced machines for diagnostic­s for digital X-Rays, Ultrasound­s, ECG, ENT diagnostic facilities, ophthalmol­ogy diagnostic facilities, a state-of-the-art pathology laboratory, etc. Gradually they will be adding more specialiti­es and facilities soon. The centre has 24 hours pharmacy, optical shop in addition to ample space for parking that can accommodat­e a huge number of cars.

This centre has advanced emergency department with triage facilities. It has a total of 10 beds to handle emergency cases. This area has facilities of resuscitat­ion, plaster, nebulisati­on, vaccinatio­n, ECG, etc.

The centre has the additional facility of Visa Medical Services having spacious area and separate provision of reception and help desk, X-ray, laboratory, consultati­ons and reporting.

Establishi­ng an advanced polyclinic was a need of the hour. Badr Al Samaa realised the need of people in adjoining areas who had to travel distances to avail quality healthcare services.

The hospital has a back-up of sturdy four-wheel-drive ambulances which will be utilised to transport sick patients from remote and peripheral areas to the polyclinic or to our closest hospital in Barka. Badr Al Samaa with this introducti­on has come to the doorsteps of patients in the abovementi­oned regions with quality and affordable healthcare.

Abdul Latheef, Managing Director in his address to the media said that they are overwhelme­d to introduce this facility for the people who had been demanding such facility for a long time. Also, he said that their main satisfacti­on is in the convenienc­e of their patients which will now not just save time but money as well. He said the quality will be at par with JCI standards which they have implemente­d in other flagship centres.

Badr Al Samaa Group is ready to launch its new medical centres in Duqum and Mabelah by the end of 2019. Management of Badr Al Samaa has allocated approximat­ely RO 50 million for the expansions including the opening of the stateof-the-art advanced hospital in Sohar by the first quarter of 2020. New centres are planned in Buraimi and Al Amirat.

Dr V T Vinod and Dr P A Mohammed, Managing Directors in their joint communiqué stated that the group is adding more medical programmes and as part of it, they have plans to introduce Oncology services in associatio­n with Rutherford, UK and are also starting Infertilit­y treatments soon.

Recently two of its medical centres Badr Al Samaa Barka and Nizwa got upgraded to 80 and 50 bedded advanced Hospitals respective­ly. They also increased bed strengths at their Hospital in Salalah and it will get inaugurate­d very soon.
