UN chief praises HM’s peacekeeping efforts

MUSCAT: The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has praised the regional peacekeeping efforts of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, according to Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). A statement by MOFA read: “HE Antonio Guterres has praised the efforts of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said to solve many regional and international issues in a peaceful manner.”

MOFA’s announcement came after a meeting between Gutteres and Ambassador Mohammed Al Hassan, in which Guterres received Al Hassan’s official documentation as Oman’s envoy to the United Nations.
