Hockey festival to be held in Muscat on August 30

MUSCAT: The 73rd Independence Day of India Hockey Festival was announced by its organisers under the patronage of Embassy of India, chief guest Shri Munu Mahawar and guests of honor Dr. Hammad Hamed Al Ghafri and Mr BS Mehta.

The Independence Day of India Hockey Festival will be held on 30th August, 2019 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Busher. It is the 14th year that Team Coorg Muscat and Friends of Naqvi Group are organising the festival. The highlight this year is that it has been decided to combine the celebrations of Independence Day and National Sports Day of India, also known as the Dhyan Chand Day.

This year, there will be three trophies (1)the Independence Trophy,(2). The Ambassador Cup and (3) Dhyan Chand Trophy.
