MUSCAT: Bilal Muhammed’s 5 for 29 and Syed Muzammil’s 4 for 28 powered Renaissanc­e to an emphatic 43-run win despite being dismissed for 152 in A Premier Division game at Oman

Mallya ripped through E&Y as it folded up for 176 in the 43 rd over despite Rana Zeeshan’s fighting 55. Nalinda Prasad bagged 2 for 31. Alpha raced to the target in only 34.5 overs, scoring 177 for 4 thanks to lovely knock by Parth Trivedi (59) and Shrey Wilson (40).

ACT down PDO

In a B Division game, ACT handed PDO a 119-run drubbing at Muscat Municipali­ty ground 1 in Amerat. ACT piled up 232 for 1 in 30 overs thanks to superb batting by Hafiz

Irfan (142 not out) and Iftikhar Ahmed 114). PDO failed to mount a decent challenge, getting dismissed for 153 in the 21 st over. Rajesh Devashya was the pick of ACT bowlers, taking 3 for 32 while Puneet Mehta and Qasim Ali took two wickets each.

OCT Al Hail A beaten

In a C Division match at Muscat Municipali­ty ground 2, Bank Muscat made short work of OCT Al Hail A in a 69-run victory on Friday. Bank Muscat posted a sizeable 181 for 8 on the board in 20 overs, Yousuf Al Balushi (42), Rameshbabu (42) and Zeeshan Tufail (32). OCT Al Hail A managed to score only 112 for 8 before its quota of overs finished.

Waleem Rahim topscored with a fluent 64. Ajay Hirlekar claimed 3 for 18 while Zeeshan Tufail took two wickets.
