Khimji Ramdas unveils its 2020 Calendar
MUSCAT: Khimji Ramdas (KR) recently unveiled its thematic 2020 calendar that showcases the illustrious reign of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour, the guiding light of our beloved nation.
This gold-foil embellished calendar elaborates the theme of 50 years of renaissance and late HM’s pivotal contributions that defined the progress of the Sultanate.
KR’s unique 2020 calendar features rare photographs of late His Majesty taken by his photographer along with colourful murals from across the country that capture various aspects of the renaissance in a vivid artistic form.
It also highlights excerpts from his royal speeches from 1970 to 2015 on numerous subjects such as the future; education; the youth; the conservation of the environment; women empowerment; technology and tourism amongst others.
Elaborating on the significance of the 2020 calendar, Pankaj Khimji, Director of KR said, “This calendar honours the timeless legacy left behind by late HM Sultan Qaboos bin Said. While his loss is a shock to the entire nation his legacy will continue to inspire us and his illuminating words will be a beacon for the generations to come. This also happens to be the sesquicentennial anniversary of KR’s operations in the Sultanate. For 150 years, Khimji Ramdas has been a vital part of the nation’s fabric by continually working towards the economic and cultural landscape of our great nation. We look back at the momentous journey it has been, both for Khimji Ramdas and for the nation.”
