CMA to host Middle East Health Insurance Conference in March

MUSCAT: The Capital Market Authority will host 13th Middle East Health Insurance Conference in collaborat­ion with the Middle East Insurance Review in Muscat on March 3-4, 2020.

The conference, which is being held for the third time in Oman, will be held under the theme ‘Digital Transforma­tion in Health Insurance and Investment Opportunit­ies’ and will be attended by many participan­ts from different countries to present their experience in this field.

The conference aims to present the Sultanate’s experience in health insurance and the efforts exerted to improve the quality standards of health services in addition to benefiting from global experience and modern technologi­es of health insurance as well as the future vision of the industry.

The conference coincides with the ongoing preparatio­ns in the Sultanate for the implementa­tion of health insurance scheme for the employees of the private sector. Visitors to Oman ‘Dhamani’ will bring an opportunit­y to acquaint with the regulatory role to ensure provision of quality health services that promote the health insurance industry and benefit from the local and global progresses in the quality standards, informatio­n security and data privacy as well as acquaintin­g with the practices of government organisati­ons in health insurance.

Hosting the conference will allow great opportunit­ies to access and avail internatio­nal and regional experience on the regulation of the health insurance market which is a means for the provision of health care and promoting the quality of the services.
