Zubair face LC Tech, Design Group to take on Gitacs in the final

Oman Cricket has suspended all cricket activities in the country following the government directive with regards to the coronaviru­s.

MUSCAT: Zubair CT set up an exciting Senior Cup Knockout final against LC Tech after winning their respective semi-finals in Amerat on Friday.

Riding on Mubashar Iqbal’s outstandin­g all-round show, Zubair defeated Unique Elegant by 25 runs while LC Tech overcame Douglas OHI by 25 runs in a keenly fought contest.

In the Junior Cup Knockout competitio­n, Design Group Engineerin­g Consultant­s won its semi-final against Ghantoot Group by 4 wickets, reaching a title showdown with Gitacs.

This had gotten the better of Sketch Internatio­nal by 25 runs in the semi-final thanks to a superb spell of 4 for 15 by Sajid Ali and brilliant batting by Ali Bilal (58) and Rafeeq Mohammed (45).

The final, which was scheduled to be held on Friday, March 20, has been postponed till a new date is announced by Oman Cricket.
