Bank Muscat, Orient Travels, Maniz Azad score easy wins
MUSCAT: Asghar Khan’s splendid 94 and Ajay Hirlekar’s superb 5 for 23 were the highlights of Bank Muscat’s emphatic 80-run victory against OCT Seeb in a 30over B Division clash at Muscat Municipality ground 2 in Amerat on Friday.
Ramesh Babu Paulsamy’s 34 was the other notable score in Bank Muscat’s 225 for 8. Younis Murad picked up 3 for 53 while Mohammed Othman and Faris Al Balushi took two wickets each.
OCT Seeb saw itself slide to 72 for 5 from 40 for 1 and could manage to score only 145 for 9 in its quota of overs.
Younis Murad topscored with 27 as Ajay made batting difficult for the middle and late order batsmen during his 6-over spell.

Arif’s ton lifts Orient Travels
In another B Division game, veteran Arif Hussain’s scintillating 119 off 78 powered Orient Travels/Gitacs to a massive 145-run win over PDO RC at Muscat Municipality ground 1.
Apart from Arif ’s ton, Orient Travels’ 281 for 8 also included a fluent 64 by fellow opener Adil Khan. Zakir Khan and Mohammed Sharif bagged two wickets each.
PDO’s response was way below the mark and it was dismissed for a dismal 136 in 24.3 overs. Mohammed Sharif was the only notable scorer with 24 off 26 as Abid Ali and Ihsan Khan claimed three wickets each while Arif bagged two.

Maniz Azad score 7-wicket victory win
Shoaib Mohammed’s solid 44 not out helped Maniz Azad International to comfortable 7-wicket victory against Khalsa United in a C Division T20 League match at
Muscat Municipality ground 1.
Sushil Kadam topscored with 44 while Irfan Ahmed contributed 33 as Khalsa scored 136 for 8 in 20 overs. Moazzam Shah and Zaheer Abbas claimed two wickets each.
Maniz raced to victory in less than 15 overs, scoring 137 for 3 thanks to solid batting by Shoaib and AdnanulHaq who whacked 34 not out off only 18 balls.
