Best of the best honoured at sixth edition of The Luxury 100

MUSCAT: It was a grand night of celebratio­n at the sixth edition of The Luxury 100 awards held at the stately Muscat Ballroom of Kempinski Muscat here recently.

The evening décor lit up in red and gold provided the perfect ambience for the grand reveal of The Luxury 100 Collector’s Edition book and honouring the brands that made the Best of the Best list this year.

Attending the evening were chief guest, KIM Chang Kyu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Oman, Dr Alessandro Garbellini Deputy Head of the mission at Embassy of Italy in Muscat, Sheikh Saud bin Mustahail Al Mashani, Group GM of Muscat Overseas Group, Sheikh Issa bin Salim Al Mashani also from Muscat Overseas Group and other dignitarie­s. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Rawahi, Showroom Manager – KARE Oman, and Atulya Sharma, CEO of UMS were also present at the event.

The evening began with a welcome speech from Mayank Singh, Executive Vice President & Group Editor – UMS and was followed by a spectacula­r reveal of this years The Luxury 100 Collectors’ Edition by KIM Chang Kyu, Dr Alessandro Garbellini, Sheikh Issa Bin Salim Al Mashani, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Rawahi, and Atulya Sharma.

This was followed by the first set of awards to the deserving winners, which was presented by KIM Chang Kyu and Sheikh Saud Bin Mustahail Al Mashani. The second set of awards were presented by KIM Chang Kyu, Al Mashani and Atulya Sharma.

The event was presented by KARE Oman. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Marios

Stylianide­s, General Manager – Oasis Life Style, which includes IDDesign and KARE, said, “It was an amazing night, full of glamour and surprises. We are very proud that we were a part of this spectacula­r event and I hope we will be so for more years to come.”

Joining them this year was McLaren Muscat Luxury Partner. Brought out by Signature magazine, Oman’s leading luxury lifestyle publicatio­n, and curated after months of study and research by the editors of UMS, renowned luxury specialist­s, lifestyle journalist­s and a select mix of readers and industry experts, each featured product has proven its luxury credential­s with its popularity.

The gala was an evening filled with entertainm­ent, style, and glamour. The star entertaine­rs of the evening were Oman’s homegrown Spanish fusion band, Los Amigos, who enthralled everyone with their foot-tapping performanc­e.
