Oman trade delegation to review relation during Pakistan visit

The delegation will be headed by Redha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry

MUSCAT: An Omani trade delegation will head on Tuesday for Karachi, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on a five -day visit.

The delegation will review enhancemen­t of relations and investment between the private sectors of the two countries.

The delegation will be headed by Redha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and comprises a number of members of the OCCI Board and Omani businessme­n representi­ng the various commercial sectors.

Commercial cooperatio­n

Redha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry said: “The visit comes within the programme of OCCI aimed to boost aspects of commercial cooperatio­n and investment and to increase exchange of trade between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan”.

The visit is aimed at creating commercial partnershi­ps between the companies and establishm­ents of the private sectors in the two countries.

The visit would comprise meetings with a number of officials from the Ministry of Commerce, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the commerce and industry bodies in a number of cities, he said, adding it would also see a number of meetings between members of the Sultanate’s delegation and their Pakistani counterpar­ts to discuss cooperatio­n in the field of commerce and trade and investment between the two countries.

Industrial areas

The programme would include visits to a number of industrial areas and factories of the Pakistani companies operating in the field of medicines and food items besides trip to a number of projects and tourism sites in the major cities, he said.
