InterContinental Muscat appoints Daniel Arbenz as its new GM

MUSCAT: InterContinental Muscat is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Arbenz as General Manager of the legendary Grand Dame of Muscat.

As a Swiss national, who graduated from Swiss Hotel Management School Luzern SHL, Daniel brings to the role over 25 years of experience with IHG and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in leading luxury, renowned and iconic hotels across Switzerland, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Greater China, Hong Kong & Macau. Daniel moved back to Europe last year from the InterContinental Shenzhen in China and was based at the InterContinental Geneva before moving to Oman.

During his extensive career in senior executive leadership, IHG entrusted him with his hotel with cluster, area, and regional responsibilities out of Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen where he at times operationally covered up to 28 hotels. His achievements and successes were honoured multi-times with industry awards and recognitions such as the “China Hospitality Leadership Award” by China Grand Hotels,“Greater China Operations Hero” by IHG and the “Best Performing InterContinental Hotel” for InterContinental Shenzhen.

In his new role at the iconic InterContinental Muscat, Daniel will focus on all aspects that deliver to the community, customers, partners, and investors a lasting InterContinental brand experience with a strong bond to Omani heritage and true hospitality for good.
