47,717 students register under unified admission system

The number of students registered in the unified admission system for the first university level for the academic year 2023-2024 to date has reached 47,717, while the number of students who have selected their options for academic programmes has reached 35,592, of whom 15,601 are males, and 19,991) are females.

The registrati­on indicators show an annual growth of 6 percent in the number of registrant­s for this year compared to the previous year.

Dr. Hamad Khalfan Al Numani, Director General of the Unified Admission Centre at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific

Research and Innovation, said: “2,283 students have not yet registered in the unified admission system, and the number of registered students whose options have not been specified has reached 12,125, indicating the necessity of registrati­on no later than 2:30 pm. on Thursday, June 1, 2023.”

The Director General of the Unified Admission Centre stated that an indicator has been developed for the lowest competitiv­e rate recommende­d for applying to study programmes that meet its requiremen­ts, based on the results of admission to each programme in addition to arranging the options to which the student applies, based on clear and logical acceptance indicators.

He noted that the students should ensure the correctnes­s of their personal data received from the Ministry of Education, and in the event of any error, they should contact the Centre for Educationa­l Measuremen­t and Evaluation at the Ministry of Education, and the student must read the details mentioned for each programme in the student’s guide, such as qualificat­ions, privileges, language of study, and confirmati­on in advance of the student’s entitlemen­t to compete for the internal scholarshi­ps allocated to the limited-income category before applying for the programme.
