Al Mouj Marina makes boating more accessible with launch of Captain’s Club

-

Al Mouj Marina is making boating more accessible with the launch of the Captain’s Club; a subscription-based rental scheme where over 100 boats can be enjoyed at a collection of marinas across the Mena region, freeing boating enthusiasts from the cost of ownership.

Al Mouj Marina sits at the heart of Oman’s premier lifestyle destination Al Mouj Muscat and the club opens up the award-winning harbour and the pleasure of oceangoing adventures off the coast of Oman to a wider group of people.

Boats can be taken out and enjoyed either on a month-by-month or annual basis, saving Captain’s Club members from the responsibilities and expenses typically associated with ownership such as mooring fees and maintenance.

In addition to Al Mouj Muscat, the Captain’s Club operates at five world-class marinas in the UAE and, once members have completed a two-day training course, they have the freedom and flexibility to pre-book a powerboat at any of the participating locations up to several months in advance.

Weekend or week-day use is determined by the type of membership and associated payment plans which include Silver, Pearl and Gold and where Silver membership costs only 115 OMR per month and 1150 OMR for the whole year for week day use only.

Pearl makes it possible for boats to be taken out during the week and over some weekends for 155 OMR per month or an annual fee of 1600 OMR, and Gold provides 365day use for a cost of 186 OMR per month or 2000 OMR for the year.

Boat availability at all of the harbours is guaranteed and other benefits include the option to cruise in the evening and stay overnight, enlist the expertise of experienced captains, enjoy complimentary trips, reserve boats in advance and freeze annual membership for 60 days to fit around plans.

Commenting on the introduction of Captain’s Club, Nasser bin Masoud Al Sheibani, CEO of Al Mouj Muscat said: “The Captain’s Club brings this exhilarating leisure experience within the reach of a much wider audience to get the opportunity to experience what Al Mouj Marina and the sear of Oman has to offer, and is extremely good value and a stress free alternative to ownership.

“It also opens up our wonderful marina to more people, many from further afield, and with an abundance of ocean-front cafes, restaurants and shops alongside at Al Mouj Muscat, members have the opportunity to make their experience truly memorable.”

Al Mouj Marina is a 400-berth facility, the first in the region to be awarded International Clean Marina and 5 Gold Anchor accreditation and has one of the largest breakwaters in the world helping to facilitate safe mooring conditions as well as providing easy access out into crystal clear waters from which to savour views of the Sultanate’s coastline and where the nature reserve of the Daymaniat Islands are within easy reach.
