Spain hold Brazil, France beat Chile

-

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta scored a late penalty as Brazil drew 3-3 with Spain in a friendly at Real Madrid’s Bernabeu on Tuesday.

Rodri scored from the penalty spot before Dani Olmo doubled Spain’s lead with a brilliant solo effort.

Rodrygo pulled one back for Brazil just before the break and 17-yearold Endrick levelled five minutes after coming on at half time.

Rodri made it 3-2 with another penalty before Paqueta’s 96thminute equaliser.

It was Real Madrid-bound Endrick’s second Brazil goal in the space of four days, after he became the youngest male goalscorer for club or country at Wembley stadium in the 1-0 win over England on Friday.

Luis de la Fuente’s Spain, meanwhile, end this international break without a win after losing 1-0 to Colombia at West Ham’s London Stadium.

Giroud scores as hosts fight back to win

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Olivier Giroud scored the winning goal as France came from behind to beat Chile 3-2 in a friendly in Marseille.

Marcelino Nunez’s low effort into the bottom left corner gave the visitors a surprise sixth-minute lead.

But Youssouf Fofana levelled with a deflected shot and Randal Kolo Muani headed the hosts in front, before Giroud’s 57th international goal in the 72nd minute.

Dario Osorio’s late effort was not enough to prevent Chile’s first defeat under new coach Ricardo Gareca.

It was a welcome victory for Didier Deschamps, who saw his France side concede even earlier in Saturday’s 2-0 loss at home to Germany. The French boss named a much-changed side with captain Kylian Mbappe and midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni the only players to be retained from the weekend match.
