Two M. Phil seminars held in the faculty of social sciences
KHAIRPUR, Feb 25: Two M. Phil Seminars were held in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Nawaz Chand. Both seminars were delivered under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Chandio.
First seminar was delivered by Mr. Sarfaraz Nawaz Chand on “NATORussian Conflict in PostSoviet Era: An Analysis” in the Institute of International Relations.
Mr. Sarfraz Nawaz Chand said, the specific objective of this research is to highlight the root cause of ever increasing conflict between NATO-Russia which may hamper the peace of the world and Europe in particular. The main purpose of this study is to highlight the impact of the issue in the peace of the region. The second seminar was delivered by Mr. Akhtar Hussain Hullio on “Arab Spring & Reorientation of U.S Strategic Interest in Middle East: A Case Study of Egypt and Syrian” in the Department of Pakistan Studies.
Mr. Akhtar Hussain Hullio said, U.S needs to reevaluate its interests in the region in light of the evolving dynamics in the Middle East. He said, the objective of the research is to explore the interplay of U.S interests in the Middle East, how the geo-strategic context in the region has changed during the Arab Spring period and the attendant effects on U.S interests.
Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Nawaz Chand said, the research scholars presented their research in befitting manner. The topics of both scholars are up to the mark. Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Chandio shed light on the topics of the research scholars and said, the research plays vital role in the development of any nation.
Prof. Dr. Imdad Hussain Sahito, Chairman, Department of Pakistan Studies, and Prof. Dr. Amir Ahmed Khuhro, Director, Institute of International Relations also spoke on this occasion and briefed about the academic and research activities of their Departments.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Mahar, Prof. Dr. Amir Ali Chandio, Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed Kanhar, Ms. Shahida Amir Chandio, Mr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Mr. Aijaz Chandio and large numbers of scholars and students attended the seminars.
