Some powers oppose FATA merger into KP
Govt to play due role for ensuring provision of share to FATA in NFC award: PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that some hidden powers were against merger of Fata with KhyberPakhtunkhwa and they are using people to attain their malicious plan.
He said this while chairing a review meeting to asses’ development regarding Fata merger into KP.
Addressing the review meeting, Imran Khan said, “We will have to defeat these hidden powers by fighting against them jointly.”
The prime minister also said the federal government will play its role to delivers Fata due share to its people in the next FCAwards.
He said Fata merger was done to bring improvement in lives of local residents. He hoped that after merger management issues will be resolved in the Tribal areas. Quoting example of merger of east and west Germany, Khan saidTribal areas people are far behind from other regions peoples in Pakistan and to bring Fata at the par of these regions we will have to put joint efforts. Talking about appointment of officers in the newly merged region, PM Khan stressed that those officers should be transferred in these areas whom have good name in society and equipped with themotivation of serving Fata people.
