IS­LAM­ABAD: Prime Min­is­ter Im­ran Khan has said that some hid­den pow­ers were against merger of Fata with Khy­berPakhtunkhwa and they are us­ing peo­ple to at­tain their ma­li­cious plan.

He said this while chair­ing a re­view meet­ing to asses’ de­vel­op­ment re­gard­ing Fata merger into KP.

Ad­dress­ing the re­view meet­ing, Im­ran Khan said, “We will have to de­feat th­ese hid­den pow­ers by fight­ing against them jointly.”

The prime min­is­ter also said the fed­eral gov­ern­ment will play its role to de­liv­ers Fata due share to its peo­ple in the next FCAwards.

He said Fata merger was done to bring improve­ment in lives of lo­cal res­i­dents. He hoped that af­ter merger man­age­ment is­sues will be re­solved in the Tribal ar­eas. Quot­ing ex­am­ple of merger of east and west Ger­many, Khan saidTribal ar­eas peo­ple are far be­hind from other re­gions peo­ples in Pak­istan and to bring Fata at the par of th­ese re­gions we will have to put joint ef­forts. Talk­ing about ap­point­ment of of­fi­cers in the newly merged re­gion, PM Khan stressed that those of­fi­cers should be trans­ferred in th­ese ar­eas whom have good name in so­ci­ety and equipped with the­mo­ti­va­tion of serv­ing Fata peo­ple.
