IS­LAM­ABAD: Re­fus­ing a pro­posal to ap­point Pak­istan Mus­lim LeagueNawaz (PML-N) leader and for­mer For­eign Min­is­ter Khawaja Asif as head of the key Pub­lic Ac­counts Com­mit­tee (PAC), Prime Min­is­ter Im­ran Khan asked that how could a con­vict hold a pub­lic of­fice.

Ac­cord­ing to the de­tails, rul­ing party Pak­istan Tehreek-e-In­saf (PTI) on Fri­day held a con­sul­ta­tive meet­ing with Prime Min­is­ter Im­ran Kahn in the chair and mulled over the ap­point­ment of PAC chair­man. Pak­istan Peo­ples Party (PPP) Chair­man Bi­lawal Bhutto Zar­dari and Khawaja Asif’s names were came un­der dis­cus­sion for the key slot.
