Rangers ar­rest 18 in­clud­ing al­leged four kid­napers

KARACHI: Pak­istan Rangers Sindh on Fri­day claimed to have ap­pre­hended 18 sus­pects, in­clud­ing four al­leged kid­napers, dur­ing tar­geted raids in dif­fer­ent parts of the megac­ity.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease is­sued by rangers’ spokesman, the para­mil­i­tary force car­ried out tar­geted raids in Mu­bina town area and ap­pre­hended four kid­nap­pers Naveed Hus­sain, Ali Raza, Am­jed Hus­sain and Mumtaz Ali. They were stated to be in­volved in kid­nap­ping of chil­dren in the city. Dur­ing crack­down on out­laws in dif­fer­ent parts of the city in­clud­ing Za­man town, Ko­rangi In­dus­trial Area, SITE Su­per­high­way and Mad­ina Colony the para­mil­i­tary soldiers nabbed nine street crim­i­nals, four wanted ac­cused and a drug ped­dlers.

Cit­ing their crimes the spokesman said that the ar­rested crim­i­nals were in­volved in snatch­ing mo­bile phones, kid­nap­ping, aerial fir­ing, drug ped­dling and sev­eral street crimes.

Rangers also claimed to have re­cov­ered il­le­gal weapons, drugs and con­tra­band from their possession.

They were handed over to po­lice for fur­ther le­gal ac­tion.
