Targeting National Interest for Personal Gain

The DG ISPR reiterated that the army should be kept away from political affairs.It is unfortunate that in recent days there have been statements in print, electronic and social media directly or indirectly targeting the military.For example, attempts are being made to give the impression that the armed forces have a hand in overthrowing Imran Khan's government. It is also being said that the military leadership played a role in bringing in the present government and removing Imran Khan from power.Given the complex challenges facing Pakistan, there is no need to say how harmful such allegations are.This situation can also be said that the anti-Pakistan forces who are trying to harm us on the internal and external fronts will surely be happy with this accusation. As a nation, we have to ask ourselves why we are failing to solve our internal problems through mutual understanding. We also have to think about why any foreign power would be benevolent towards Pakistan. The tragedy is that we are not ready to leave our caste in any way. There are some of our politicians who only like themselves, i.e if they are in power then everything is good otherwise everything is bad.The present government is better in the sense that it does not have Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf but more or less all the parties are present in one form or another, now this opportunity can be rightly taken advantage of. Here the question arises as to why Imran Khan is not willing to play such a role on the basis of which he is remembered in history as a leader more than a politician. According to some critics of the former Prime Minister, Imran Khan wants to return to power at any cost, irrespective of what price he or Pakistan has to pay.In fact, we all know that the only people in history who succeed in being remembered in good words are those who are free from selfishness, whose purpose is to do good to others more than themselves. Independent observers analyzing the leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believe that it is difficult to expect Imran Khan to go beyond himself. Thus, it would not be wrong to say that in the next few days, there is no possibility of the former Prime Minister canceling his sit-in or protest program in Islamabad.Of course, this situation is not a good omen for the government in any way, so there is a strong possibility that the law will come into force and Imran Khan, his wife and Farah Khan will be charged with alleged corruption cases for which solid evidence is being sought.The language used by Imran Khan at the May 8th meeting in Abbottabad once again about his political opponents, media and national institutions cannot be said to be better. Political observers believe that the former prime minister is pursuing a policy of intimidating all the institutions of the state through his people's power, which is certainly pointing to a dangerous situation. Immediately after Imran Khan's Abbottabad meeting, DG ISPR's statement is being seen in the context that the former Prime Minister is constantly targeting national institutions for his political purposes, which is sad but also worrying.
