Sahibkiran’s birth anniversar­y celebrated on Amir Temur Avenue in Tashkent

A solemn event on the occasion of the 686th anniversar­y of the great Sahibkiran’s birth was held on Amir Temur Avenue in Tashkent. Writers and poets, historians, Temur scholars, cadets of military schools, mahalla activists, students, representa­tives of internatio­nal organizati­ons and the diplomatic corps were invited to the event.

Chairman of the Amir Temur Internatio­nal Public Charity Foundation, People’s Writer of Uzbekistan Muhammad Ali, Director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Azamat Ziyo, historian Hamidulla Dadaboyev noted that the study of Temur and the heritage of the Temurids is very relevant in Uzbekistan, which has entered the Third Renaissanc­e. At the solemn event, cadets of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Public Security University performed samples of martial arts. Students of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies read Temur’s Orders in Uzbek, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Turkish, Persian, English and French.

Ikram Hashimjano­v, Chairman of the Department for the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Amir Temur Internatio­nal Public Charity Foundation, noted that the fraternal peoples have been rememberin­g the noble deeds and vital slogans of Amir Temur for centuries. At the ceremony, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, poet Rustam Musurmon recited a poem entitled “The building built by Amir Temur”. Participan­ts of the event laid flowers at the monument of our great ancestor Sahibkiran.

The ceremony was attended by State Advisors to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhit­ov, Khayriddin Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Committee for Family and Women Zulaykho Mahkamova. On the same day, the State Museum of Timurids History hosted an internatio­nal conference and exhibition dedicated to the activities of Sahibkiran, his place in world history. -
