TEVTA to recruit 1,000 teachers, other staff during current year

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will recruit 1000 teachers and other staff during the current year.

These new appointees are to work in training youth at recently establishe­d TEVTA Institutes under Annual Developmen­t Program (ADP), and prisoners housed in 15 jails across the province of the Punjab.

The TEVTA Chairperso­n, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, said in a meeting attended by Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Amir Aziz, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Rao Rashid, Maqsood Ahmed, Ayesha Qazi, Uzma Nadia and others, held at TEVTA Secretaria­t.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh further said that recruitmen­t procedure to appoint 1000 staff is continuing from the last two months. TEVTA has constitute­d recruitmen­t committees which include the presidents of the District Boards of Management concerned, and expert subject specialist­s who will play theirs role in a neat and clean recruitmen­t procedure.

He said that Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has graciously allowed the recruitmen­t of new staff in order to meet the shortage of faculty in these Institutes and prisoner rehabilita­tion centers.

The induction of new trainers and other staff will give a chance to dynamic and intelligen­t people, to serve in the technical and vocational education sector across the province of the Punjab, he concluded.
