Bahria Town Karachi wins 21 positions in 70th Pakistan Annual Flower Show

Bahria Town Karachi, which is known for its beautiful landscapin­g and outstandin­g parks, has bagged 21 positions in different categories of the 70th Pakistan Annual Flower Show, which was organised by the Horticultu­re Society of Pakistan.

Talking about the achievemen­t, Bahria Town Karachi’s General Manager Horticultu­re Ayesha Waqar said, “Being a conscienti­ous organisati­on, Bahria Town Karachi is not only providing the best of scenic locations but also ensuring eco-friendly measures to safeguard the environmen­t. We have introduced the techniques of harvesting rain water and treating grey water at a sewerage treatment plant to conserve our resources and fresh drinking water, and meet our constructi­on and horticultu­re needs.”

This is not the first time that the Bahria Town’s horticultu­re department grabbed many positions in the annual flower show but it had also won 5, 13 and 17 positions in the last three years. However, it raised the bar this year by winning 21 positions in various categories.

Ali Block Park and Ancient Park won the second and third positions in the small park category, D-Park and Golf City stood second in the category of medium size parks, the entrance park stood second in large parks category while Danzoo, Carnival and Bahria Paradise Gate Park came first, second and third respective­ly in the category of extra-large parks. Bahria Adventure Land Theme Park won the second position in the category of best theme garden, Bahria Town Internatio­nal Hospital stood first in the best hospital garden category while Masjid-eSarwar and Masjid-e-Shuhada came first and second in the best mosque garden category respective­ly.

Corporate Office and Camp Office earned second and third positions respective­ly in the category of best small office garden while Head Office stood first in the large office category.

Rayhan Hill Golf Club stood second in the category of best golf club garden. Tauheed Square, Malik Square and Main Gate Park won the first, second and third positions respective­ly. Jinnah Avenue came first while Avenue 04-05 and Avenue 1 came second and third in the category of 60-feet wide roads.
