PBM’S poor-friendly initiative­s being taken under Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Program: Khokhar

ISLAMABAD: The heads of Diplomatic Mission’s Spouses Group pays visit to the School for Rehabilita­tion of Child Labour run by Pakistan Bait-ul-mal (PBM) here. Managing Director PBM, Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar welcomed the distinguis­hed guests and gave a detailed briefing about the PBM’S poor friendly initiative­s being taken under Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Program, to uplift the lives of vulnerable community of the country. Managing Director PBM told that PBM is running 159 Schools throughout the country to pull out the children from bonded labour and to impart them education. These children are also provided pocket money on daily basis while monthly stipends are also given to their parents. Moreover, uniform, books, stationary, healthcare and hair cutting facility is also available to these children free of charge. The dignitarie­s appreciate­d the initiative and also vowed to carry out the social services in the country along with Pakistan Bait-ul-mal. The spouses of Ambassador­s from different countries visited all the class rooms and made conversati­on with the students. The Heads of Diplomatic Mission’s Spouses Group also distribute­d sweets and books among the students.
