Unified society must for economic developmen­t, say religious scholars

Religious and notable scholars from all walks of life have stressed upon the unity of society is essential for its developmen­t. The unity of society is only possible when they behaved humanly. The morality is not related to any religion, followings, sect or ideology. This is such a practice that makes the world free from war and violence.

They also emphasized that the society sinks to its lowest level when there is no concept of sin or wrong. The Human can become great only thorough its deeds. We have to promote harmony and tolerance among the various fabrics of the society and also have to unite the majority and minority in the country.

“There is no room for violence and extremism in any religion. A peaceful society in any party of the globe can only exist by promoting interfaith harmony,” they added.

In a conference under the title of “Unity In Diversity” organized by All Pakistan Minorities Alliance of Dr Paul Bhatti at a local hotel the other, PM’S Special Assistance on Interfaith Harmony,

Maulana Tahir Asharfi in his key note address said, “Sialkot incident bring disgrace to Pakistan and also personally hurt from this tragedy.”

Dr Paul Bhatti, Chairman All Pakistan Minorities Alliance in his opening remarks said that the vision of country’s father Mr Jinnah was to make Pakistan a role model for the other Islamic countries. Give rights to all the minorities residing in it and for this, he tried his level best to achieve it. All the minorities in General and Christian community in particular played a key role in every walks of life for its betterment and developmen­t.

“We have to unit all the minorities and majority as well. With this concept, APMA is moving ahead. Contrary to this, there is intoleranc­e, violence, hatred and disrespect everywhere in the country. We have to eliminate these negative sentiments and have to include moral values in our priorities, so that we can eliminate these ills from the society,” Dr Paul added.

We have to focus on education. Also to give equal rights to the Minorities. If we did not give it priority, the continuati­on of such incident will continue to happen in future, he anticipate­d.

Renowned religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jamil said that the humans can only become great with their deeds not with their wealth. Quoting the Holy Prophet Hazrat Mohammad, Tariq Jamil further said that the only way to get eternally life better is to treat the non-muslim in better way.

The success of every Muslim lies on four things that include to speak truth, not to deceive, good manner and earn honestly, Maulana Tariq added.

Bishop Joseph in his address said that we are all human beings are creation of one God. Despite this fact, where we are going. He thinks that We all are going to the lowest and those values who teaches us love, respect and humanity where they have gone. We all have to work for the revival of these values.

Chairman Ruet-e-hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khair Azad said that we have move forward with peace. Pakistan is a democratic state and it is our responsibi­lity to protect the rights of minorities.

Other key speakers also address the conference and it was attended by some foreign dignitarie­s.
