Imran equates crackdown on PTI with Hitler’s use of arson to crush political opponents

Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-iinsaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday equated the government’s highhanded approach against the PTI workers with Hitler’s Nazi policies, saying that the way Hitler had used arson to crush his opponents, the communists, a similar frame up is going on in Pakistan.

“On February 27, 1933, the German Parliament (Reichstag) building burned down, resultantly the Nazi leadership and its coalition partners used the fire to claim that communists were planning a violent uprising. They claimed that emergency legislation was needed to prevent this. The resulting act, commonly knows as the Reichstag Fire Decree, abolished a number of protections and paved the ay for Nazi dictatorship,” he tweeted.

Imran Khan said that as a result, an emergency legislation was passed, which was commonly known as the Reichstag Fir Decree that abolished a number of constitutional protections and paved the way for Nazi dictatorship.

Moreover, he said that the decree permitted the Nazi regime to arrest and incarcerate political opponents without specific charge to dissolve political organisations to confiscate private property.

PTI Chairman reminded that how arson was used by Hitler to crush his opponents, the communists. He said: “Similar frame up is going on in Pakistan”. Interestingly, the National Assembly passed a resolution condemning events of May 9 on Monday.

IMRAN GETS TAX NOTICE FROM PUNJAB EXCISE DEPT:

Excise and Taxation Department has issued a luxury house tax notice of PKR 14.4 million to Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday.

Excise and Taxation Section of Model Town has issued a notice to PTI chief Imran Khan, imposing a luxury house tax of PKR 14.4 million. According to the Excise and Taxation Section, today is the last date for submitting the challan.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaf chief and former premier Imran Khan is facing a number of cases including in National Accountability and is currently on bail from the relevant courts.

Imran Khan directs Zulfi Bukhari, other PTI leaders not to return from abroad

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has stopped Zulfi Bukhari and other party leaders staying abroad from returning home.

In interaction with PTI leaders abroad on Monday, the party chief asked Makhdoom Tariq, Zulfi Bukhari, Shehbaz Gill and others to stay there for two weeks.

“You need to stay abroad till the party issues are normalized, otherwise you could be arrest,” he advised them.

After directions from Imran Khan, the PTI leaders abroad delayed their program of returning home and will announce schedule of their return after asked by top party leadership to come back.
