Eid shopping festival commences in I-8 to facilitate residents of twin cities

Organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in collaborat­ion with ICT Administra­tion, MCI and the concerned market associatio­n, the Eid shopping festival kicked off in Sector I-8 to provide an affordable shopping experience to the residents of the twin cities. The festival will last till Chand Raat. The festival was inaugurate­d by Deputy Commission­er Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon along with Assistant Commission­er Ms. Farwa Batool and President ICCI Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari.

Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Commission­er Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon lauded ICCI and other partners for organising the Eid shopping festival.

The DC highlighte­d the pivotal role of traders in the economy and expressed ICT Administra­tion's willingnes­s to collaborat­e in organizing activities aimed at promoting trade, indicating a proactive approach towards supporting trade endeavours. President ICCI said that the purpose of the shopping festival is to facilitate inflations­tricken people to experience Eid shopping at discounted prices.

Ahsan Zafar highlighte­d that the festival would offer shoppers a variety of entertainm­ent options, including a traditiona­l food area, an art and crafts corner, mehndi stalls, a dedicated kids' area, corporate stalls, a live music stage, exciting lucky draws, engaging quizzes, captivatin­g laser lights, and stunning lighting displays.

It is pertinent to mention here that similar Eid Festivals have also been kicked off at Abpara market, Blue Area, F-7, and F-10 Marakiz.

Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari also called upon DIG Police, SSP Traffic and those at the CDA helm of affairs for providing elaborate security, ensuring smooth flow of traffic and ensuring neat and clean atmosphere around all the business centres.

On this occasion Jan Mohammad, CEO Redson Blue, Khalid Chaudhry, former SVP, Ameer Hamza, Executive member, Faizan Shahzad, Executive member, Raja Fayyaz Gul, President I-8 Markaz and Zahid Qureshi.
