Provinces told to speed up Nat'l Action Plan
NAP yielding positive results: Shahbaz
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government is committed to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country and asked other provinces to speed up the process of implementing National Action Program (NAP).
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired an important meeting here today which discussed important national issues including energy situation and progress on the implementation of National Action Plan to combat terror- ism.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Finance Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the petrol supply situation in the country and directed that all relevant ministries and departments should ensure seamless coordination to avoid such occurrences in future.
Chief Minister Punjab apprised the Prime Minister of the progress made by the province in implementing the National Action Plan (NAP).
He said all political parties unanimously agreed on the 20 points of NAP and it is the responsibility of all the federating units of the country to implement it in its letter and spirit.
