Vawda meets CJP, enquires his health
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water Resources, Faisal Vawda on Wednesday called on Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and inquired about his health after undergoing successful angioplasty recently at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC).
Vawda presented a bouquet to the CJP Saqib Nisar and said "Nation was praying for his early recovery." The top judge thanked the visiting Federal Minister, who came to inquire about his health.
On Monday, Chief Justice of Pakistan was moved to his residence from Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) after the panel of doctors declared his health ' satisfactory'.
The chief justice was shifted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain on Sunday (November 4). Subsequently, he was examined by the doctors and his medical tests were conducted. Later, he underwent balloon angioplasty during which a blocked artery was cleared.
Later, CJP Nisar was shifted to VIP ward at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology. Strict security arrangements were ensured at the hospital to avoid any untoward situation.
According to a recent Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan jointly, the performance of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar was widely supported by the people of the country.
The 57 percent of the respondents rated his performance in the past one year as commendable. - NNI
