Pres­i­dent seeks strength­en­ing trade ties with African states

ISLAMABAD: Pres­i­dent Dr. Arif Alvi says Pak­istan wants close tradel and in­vest­ment ties with the African con­ti­nent.

He was talk­ing to Tu­nisian Am­bas­sador Adel Elarbi and Kenyan High Com­mis­sioner Julius Ki­bet Bi­tok, who sep­a­rately called on him in Islamabad on Thurs­day.

The Pres­i­dent said Pak­istan greatly val­ues its fra­ter­nal re­la­tions with Tu­nisia which is rooted in com­mon faith, cul­ture and his­tory.

He also men­tioned that Pak­istan and Kenya en­joy cor­dial and co­op­er­a­tive re­la­tions based on mu­tual re­spect and un­der­stand­ing.

The Pres­i­dent high­lighted the need for de­vel­op­ing strong po­lit­i­cal re­la­tions with both the coun­tries and re­it­er­ated the need for the ex­change of reg­u­lar of­fi­cial and pri­vate sec­tor busi­ness del­e­ga­tions to fur­ther boost eco­nomic re­la­tions with both the coun­tries. - NNI
