Food Fes­ti­val opens in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Ja­pan CG

KARACHI: Avari Tow­ers Ho­tel in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Con­sulate Gen­eral of Ja­pan in Karachi brings the Ja­panese palate to the food en­thu­si­asts of Karachi. The Ja­panese Food Fes­ti­val be­gan Fri­day at Fu­jiyama Restau­rant will be of­fer­ing a wide va­ri­ety of de­li­cious Ja­panese Cui­sine till 16th of De­cem­ber, says a Press re­lease.

The Ja­panese Food Fes­ti­val was an­nounced here at a Press con­fer­ence where the Ja­panese Con­sulate of­fi­cials to­gether with Avari Tow­ers man­age­ment briefed the me­dia about the con­cept be­hindthis Food Fes­ti­val. Ja­pan, Kat­sunori Ashida, Deputy Con­sulGen­eral of Ja­pan, Grant Rauben­heimer VP Op­er­a­tion Avari Ho­tels, Car­l­ito Magno Ja­panese Head Chef, and Naim, Ex­ec­u­tive Chef Avari Tow­ers. The event pro­gressed to the rib­bon cut­ting cer­e­mony at Fu­jiyama Restau­rant.

The Chef along with the Deputy Con­sul-Gen­eral demon­strated their culi- nary skills by show­cas­ing the slic­ing tech­niques of a fish for sushi along with the demon­stra­tion of sushi mak­ing while the food lovers from the dif- fer­ent com­mu­ni­ties en­joyed the in­ter­est­ing art and taste of Ja­panese gas­tron­omy.

Con­sul-Gen­eral of Ja­pan, Toshikazu Iso­mura stated, "It is won­der­ful to see Ja­panese cul­ture emerg­ing in Pak­istan and since the Ja­panese dishes de­pict the tra­di­tions, fu­sion of cul­tures in dif­fer­ent fla­vors from Ja­pan; it is a plea­sure to see peo­ple get­ting a chance to en­joy Ja­panese cui­sine."

The 10-day long food fes­ti­val will be fea­tur­ing a spe­cially de­signed menu which starts with Miso and Seafood clear soup, cold and hot ap­pe­tis­ers like mixed Sushi, Sashimi, Hiyashi Wakame, Na­maya­sai Salad, Sakana Tem­pura, Agedashi Tofu, Negima Yaki, Edamame, whereas a few of the main cour­ses in­clude Tori Katsu, Sakana Teriyaki, Ebi Ra­men, Go­han and the most fa­mous Tep­pa­nyaki's com­pris­ing Nin­nikku Go­han, Gyu Tep­pa­nyaki, Tori Tep­pa­nyaki and the list con­tin­ues.

Grant Rauben­heimer, VP Op­er­a­tion Avari Ho­tels, said "The am­biance of Fu­jiyama Restau­rant will trans­port you so that you feel you are en­joy­ing this fan­tas­tic cui­sine in Ja­pan. It is hard to find such au­then­tic Ja­panese taste in Pak­istan."
