Kyr­gyz is for­bearer & har­bin­ger of re­gional coun­tries: Erik

IS­LAM­ABAD: Em­bassy of Kyr­gyz Repub­lic in col­lab­o­ra­tion with In­sti­tute of Peace and Diplo­matic Stud­ies or­ga­nized a Sem­i­nar on "The Ori­gins of Kyr­gyz State­hood and Diplo­macy". Speak­ing on the Oc­ca­sion Erik Beishem­biev, Am­bas­sador of Kyr­gyz Repub­lic to Is­lam­abad high­lighted the glo­ri­ous his­tor­i­cal past of the Kyr­gyzs­tan as a lead­ing na­tion amongst the other Cen­tral Asian Republics, says a Press re­lease.

Hav­ing the chair­man­ship of Shang­hai Co­op­er­a­tion Or­ga­ni­za­tion, one of the largest and in­flu­en­tial group­ing of re­gional coun­tries of which Pak­istan is the mem­ber, Kyr­gyz Repub­lic is the for­bearer and har­bin­ger of re­gional peace and sta­bil­ity through its sta­ble eco­nomic progress, demo­cratic norms and fu­tur­is­tic outlook.

While shar­ing the his­tor­i­cal link­ages to the mod­ern state of Kyr­gyz repub­lic, Am­bas­sador has shared in­depth in­for­ma­tion link­ing his­tory with the mod­ern state of Kyr­gyz repub­lic. Over the years, a steady bal­ance has been achieved amongst the pil­lars of the gov­ern­ment, pub­lic ad­min­is­tra­tion sys­tem.

It was also high­lighted dur­ing the sem­i­nar that the vi­sion­ary lead­er­ship of the coun­try has at­tained sta­ble foun­da­tion for a com­pet­i­tive, multi-party par­lia­men­tary and ac­count­able gov­ern­ment.

Apart from hav­ing steady peace­ful coun­try at the in­ter­nal level, it has pos­i­tive, re­spon­si­ble and dy­namic diplo­matic outlook with hav­ing an in­de­pen­dent for­eign pol­icy to­wards the re­gion and at the global level.

Am­bas­sador's talk was fol­lowed by two ex­cel­lent doc­u­men­taries about the coun­try. The sem­i­nar was or­ga­nized for raising aware­ness of Kyr­gyzs­tan's Sta­bil­ity through diplo­macy and free­dom of its state­hood amongst stu­dents, re­searchers, fac­ulty mem­bers, me­dia per­sons and mem­bers of the civil so­ci­ety.

Dr Mu­jeeb Afzal, As­so­ciate Pro­fes­sor School of pol­i­tics and In­ter­na­tional Re­la­tions, Quaid-i-Azam Univer­sity Is­lam­abad and Ms. Saa­dia Saif Ni­azi, Lec­turer Depart­ment of In­ter­na­tional Re­la­tions, Na­tional Univer­sity of Mod­ern Lan­guages Is­lam­abad were among the speak­ers shed light on the aca­demic per­spec­tive of the dur­ing the dis­cus­sion.

The event was at­tended by the Am­bas­sadors, Diplo­mats, me­dia per­sons, stu­dents, fac­ulty mem­bers from dif­fer­ent aca­demic in­sti­tu­tions hav­ing keen in­ter­est in the sub­ject has also par­tic­i­pated. Ms. Farhat Asif Founder Pres­i­dent In­sti­tute of Peace and Diplo­matic Stud­ies fa­cil­i­tated the fo­rum for the speak­ers.
