GDA is to play as ac­tive op­po­si­tion in Sindh: Rashidi

KARACHI: The Grand Demo­cratic Al­liance (GDA) on Tues­day de­manded the res­ig­na­tion of Chief Min­is­ter Sindh Mu­rad Ali Shah and ex­pressed re­solve to play an ac­tive role of op­po­si­tion in Sindh.

Ad­dress­ing a joint press con­fer­ence along with Syed Sadrud­din Shah Rashidi, the GDA Sec­re­tary Gen­eral Ayaz Latif Pal­ijo de­manded Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (NAB) and Na­tional Ac­count­abil­ity Bureau (FIA) to con­tinue ac­tions against the cor­rupt el­e­ments with­out any dis­crim­i­na­tion.

He said the fed­eral gov­ern­ment should an­nounce more jobs and Sindh pack­age for the peo­ple of the prov­ince.

Syed Sadrud­din Shah Rashidi told the jour­nal­ists that Prime Min­is­ter Im­ran Khan will soon ad­dress a pub­lic meet­ing in Ghotki on the in­vi­ta­tion of Ali Go­har Ma­her.

He said that they will ap­prise the prime min­is­ter about all the is­sues dur­ing his visit to Ghotki. He said that the GDA will per­form an ac­tive role of op­po­si­tion in Sindh.

Ear­lier, Spe­cial As­sis­tant to Prime Min­is­ter Im­ran Khan on Over­seas Pak­ista­nis and Hu­man Re­source De­vel­op­ment, Zul­fikar Ab­bas Bukhari, on De­cem­ber 3, had de­manded of Sindh Chief Min­is­ter, Syed Mu­rad Ali Shah to step-down from his of­fice.

In a tweet mes­sage, Zulfi Bukhari said, "While only land­grab­bers/thieves/mafia come to Zar­dari Car­tel's res­cue, a new LOW was reached by Mu­rad Ali Shah when held ac­count­able for his cor­rup­tion.

Shame on him for be­ing a blind ser­vant try­ing to jus­tify his loy­alty by stoop­ing so low with­out any re­spect for." - NNI
