Rana Sanaullah rules out any no-go area in South Punjab

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Friday claimed that there is no no-go area in South Punjab.

Talking to reporters in Lahore, the provincial minister said that search operation has been expedited in Punjab.

"It is a national operation. All agencies, institutio­ns and the nation are involved in this operation. The anti-terrorism operation is underway with full commitment in better interest of the masses," he said.

He said terrorists are animals; there is no sympathy for them. Rana Sanaullah further revealed that facilitato­rs are also being detained after arrest of the suspect terrorists.

So far, hundreds of suspects have been arrested during intelligen­ce-based operations in different areas of Punjab following Sunday's suicide attack which claimed lives of 76 people including many children in Gulshan Iqbal Park in Lahore.

Some 8,000 people were present in the park when the bomb was detonated in the early evening.

Earlier on Wednesday, the CIA police killed 5 terrorists during raid in outskirts of Lahore. Acting on a tip- off regarding the presence of terrorists in the area, police conducted the raid in Raiwind Road area and an intense exchange of gunfire with the saboteurs ensued that lasted for over a couple of hours. Five terrorists were killed in the action.

According to the details, the suspected terrorists had rented a house in LDA Avenue. Three of the killed suspects were identified as Khan Waheed, Nasir and Junaid while other two could not be identified yet. Investigat­ors left the house after collecting evidence.
