Govt will get disgrace in Senate polls: Shazia Marri

-

KARACHI: Central Information Secretary Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians and member of National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that PTI govt will bag disgrace in Senate polls.

She said incompetent PTI leadership is facing criticism even by party cadres as most of their members raised objections over their awarding of Senate tickets.

She informed that PDM's candidate Yousuf Raza Gilani's performance is eligible to contest in Senate polls. "He has been holding talks with members of ruling party, coalition and opposition members during his election campaign and hopefully Gilani will get a positive response in upcoming Senate polls", she added.

She said that it is clearly mentioned in the constitution of Pakistan that Senate vote is a secret vote under the Articles 226. She said that members of the Senate have the same voting rights as it is given in the general elections.

She said that the Pakistan Democrat Movement's long march would be next step against the ruling govt. PDM is an ongoing movement that will continue until it achieves its goals and it was formed to get rid the people from an incapable and incompetent PTI govt.
