Buzdar announces uplift plan for every district

-

A separate development plan for every district will be devised in consultation with concerned MNAs and MPAs to complete public welfare schemes on a priority basis.

This was stated by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar while talking to a host of MNAs including Muhammad Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa, Sardar Jaffar Khan Leghari, Sardar Muhammad Khan Leghari, Sardar Riaz Khan Mazari, Niaz Ahmad Jhakhar, Malik Muhammad Ahsanullah Tiwana, Muhammad Shabbir Ali, Makhdoom Samiul Hasan Gillani, Malik Abdul Ghafoor Watto, Javed Iqbal Warraich, Syed Mubin Ahmad, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Sanaullah Mastikhel, Tahir Iqbal and others in Islamabad.

The MNAs apprised the CM about their constituencies related problems. The CM issued directions for the solution of various issues and reiterated that the government is working round the clock to resolve the public problems.

I am in constant contact with the parliamentarians and consultation with Punjab based MNAs will be continued, he added.

The nation has unwavering trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and we are also united under him, the CM stated and regretted that critics are trying to disrupt the development process.

The critics have remained unsuccessful on every occasion; he added and asserted that the development process will not stop. Meanwhile, the CM deplored the opposition is engaged in the politics of non-issues because of lack of a solid agenda and reminded it that the era of befooling the masses with hollow slogans is all but over. He mentioned that the journey of development has been extended to backward areas, as well as to the cities, that remained neglected in the past.

Unlike the past practices, funds are not given to some specific cities as a policy of composite development has been evolved, concluded the CM.

The MNAs maintained that contacts help in the resolution of problems adding that respect given to them was unimaginable in the past.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said strengthening of democratic norms lies in transparent elections and the PTI is also striving for ensuring transparency in the electoral process.

In a statement, the CM condemned horse-trading and termed it an undemocratic act. The PTI's honest leadership is facing corrupt elements while the opposition has always promoted monetary politics for fulfilling the agenda.

Negative politics is worthless in comparison with the agenda for public service, he added. Meanwhile, corrupt practices have been exposed and horsetrading will not succeed.

The PTI will emerge as a majority party and opposition will be defeated because its narrative has been rejected, concluded the CM.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to CM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the PTI has always honoured the court verdicts and pointed out the Sharif brothers had a history of attacking the higher judiciary.

In a statement, the SACM regretted that the PML (N) is infamous for making the institutions controversial as the party has indulged in cheap propaganda against every State institution. Those relishing today will mourn on March 3 as their short-lived joy will turn into a permanent pang of guilt, she declared. These are the elements that had introduced horse-trading but this negative practice cannot be repeated anymore as the SCP has asked the election commission to hold the Senate election transparently, reminded the SACM.

It is an irony that PML (N) and PPP are used to drum-beating without going through the decisions and it seems that the pygmies' party would attain nothing after the election.

PTI is the only party that approached the higher judiciary for overcoming the menace of horse-trading, added SACM. The government is fully committed to introducing necessary reforms for ensuring transparency not only in the Senate but also in local bodies and general elections, concluded the SACM.
