US oil imports from Iraq surged last week, according to data released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) this weekend.

The EIA's weekly petroleum status report showed that US crude oil imports from nine major suppliers averaged 5.997 million barrels per day (bpd) last week, up by 432 thousand barrels bpd from 5.565 million bpd the week before.

Iraq's oil exports to the United States averaged 326,000 bpd last week, up 19,000 bpd from the previous week's total of 307,000 bpd.

The EIA said that Canada remains the United States' top oil supplier, with an average of 3.659 million bpd. Mexico was the second-largest supplier, with an average of 805,000 bpd, followed by Saudi Arabia, with an average of 355,000 bpd.

The United States imported an average of 217,000 bpd from Brazil, 129,000 bpd from Ecuador, 183,000 bpd from Columbia, and 1,000 bpd from Lybia.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker , Ali Larijani stressed that the Iraqi leaders did not allow the United States to control oil, indicating that Syrian oil belongs to the people and the government in Syria , America is not entitled to control the Syrian oil fields and steal its oil.

"Trump continues his rude statements on Iraq as well," Larijani said "But he is not aware that the administration and the U.S. military have done their best to control the oil fields (in Iraq), but the vigilant reference in Najaf, the honorable leaders and the conscious Iraqi people did not let the Americans do this betrayal. "

Larijani pointed out that "America is doing reckless actions in another way to provoke unrest in the countries of the region, to control the oil resources and achieve its evil objectives," stressing that “the people of the region that destroyed ISIS will respond strongly to this American conspiracy."

He pointed out that "the statements of the U.S. president reveal the real and inhuman face of this system, Kurds, Turks and Arabs are not important to the U.S. government, and the Iranian people is not important to America, but Iran's oil is important, so they imposed an economic blockade on the Iranian people for their inability to confront it militarily to be able to dominate oil and gas resources "

Russia data the Energy Ministry revealed on Saturday that its oil production in October to 11.23 million barrels per day (bpd) from 11.25 million bpd in September, failing to meet its commitment under the global production cut pact.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and independent producers, including Russia have agreed since January to reduce oil production by 1.2 million bpd to support the market.

The agreement indicates that Russia should have cut production by between 11.17 and 11.18 million bpd.

Rosneft, Russia's biggest oil company was the biggest contributor to production cuts last month, cutting output by about 1 % from September.

OPEC production in October jumped from its lowest level in eight years due to a rapid recovery in Saudi oil production after attacks on two oil facilities, exceeding the impact of losses in Ecuador and voluntary production cuts under the OPEC + agreement.

Natural gas production in Russia rose to 61.97 billion cubic meters last month, or two centimeters per day, compared with 55.94 billion cubic meters per day in September.
